Donors
Donating both sperm and eggs is an anonymous, voluntary and altruistic act to help other people fulfill their dream of becoming mothers and fathers.
In both cases, the donors undergo rigorous medical and psychological controls, going through a “Donor Screening” to guarantee the highest quality and safety in the treatments.
Egg donation
Many women cannot become pregnant with their own eggs due to multiple reasons: advanced maternal age, ovarian failure problem, genetic diseases. In these cases, egg donation is the only option for women and couples facing infertility who need to resort to treatments such as egg donation.
Sperm donation
Sperm donation from an anonymous donor allows many couples and women with fertility problems to achieve their dream of parenthood. It is the only option for women without a partner or in couples where the man’s sperm is not viable for artificial insemination or in vitro fertilisation treatment.
“Law 14/2006, of May 26, on assisted human reproduction techniques establishes that the donation must be anonymous, voluntary, informed and unpaid”
