Artificial Insemination
Artificial insemination or intrauterine insemination is one of the simplest assisted reproduction techniques for achieving pregnancy, with a treatment and medical control that does not interrupt the patient’s normal routine. This technique consists of introducing sperm from the couple or from an anonymous donor into the woman’s uterus during her ovulation period in order to promote gestation.
Each patient is unique. At VITA we design an Artificial Insemination treatment tailored to the patient’s needs.
Artificial insemination with the partner’s sperm (AIH or Homologous Insemination)
Artificial insemination with the partner’s sperm, the simplest treatment to achieve pregnancy. A treatment indicated for couples where the woman has problems with ovulatory dysfunctions, mild or moderate endometriosis, cervical factor or anatomical alterations, with normal or mild-moderate alterations in the quality of the partner’s sperm.
Artificial insemination with donor sperm (DAI or Heterologous Insemination)
Artificial insemination with anonymous donor sperm selected from a sperm bank, a treatment indicated for couples where the man has a fertility problem related to poor sperm quality or azoospermia, is a carrier of a genetic disease, or for women without a male partner or couples of homosexual women.
